New/Old Business: Licciardello Financial

A familiar name is working back in town.

The name Tom Licciardello may ring a bell to many of you. He's a former selectman and a financial planner.

And now, he has moved his business back to town. Licciardello Financial Services has relocated from Lawrence to the Willows Professional Park, 863 Turnpike St.

"As Dorothy once said, there's no place like home," Licciardello said as he addressed the Board of Selectmen Monday night. "It took us a while to find a location, but it's really terrific to be back in North Andover."

Licciardello, a financial advisor and certified financial planner who lives in North Andover with his wife Lyn, served on the Board of Selectmen for several years. He has two daughters, Amy and Cristina. Cristina also works at Licciardello Financial Planning, as head of the Employee Benefit Division.

Licciardello was welcomed back to Town Hall with praise from the selectmen, as well as a couple jokes about his short stature.

"This is listed [on the agenda] under 'new business,' but why isn't it listed under 'short business?'" Selectman Don Stewart said.

"I think the reason I was invited here tonight is because Don's been wanting to use that one," Licciardello replied.

Don't let the short jokes fool you, though. Licciardello is an athlete, Ironman competitor and founder of the Merrimack Valley Striders.
