NAMA Merchant of the Year

The winner is...

The North Andover Merchants Association started a tradition last year at it's naming a local Merchant of the Year. Stachey's owner Terry Holland received the award that night.

This year's winner is Ed Pedi Photography.

Owned by Ed and Linda Pedi, Ed Pedi Photography has been in business for 20 years. Ed's photography has gained national esteem over the years. Last year, Ed was recognized by Professional Photographers of America at their annual convention, receiving the Silver Medalist photographer award.

"This distinction is not handed out lightly, and is instead bestowed on a business owner who not only displays an incredible talent in their craft - but also displays an uncanny ability to stretch the day to its limits; by contributing time and energy towards the betterment of our business community; and by so selflessly committing themselves towards the improvement of the town they call home," writes NAMA President Sylvie Foulds, owner of Kids Karousel.

This year's "Knight of Honor… Rising Star Gala" will be Saturday, March 23, from 6 to 10 p.m. at 500 Great Pond Road.

The gala will honor two graduating seniors pursuing a business degree with a $1,000 scholarship each, recognize the accomplishments of a young entrepreneur and award a local business for commitment to the town.

Tickets are $50 and can be ordered by contacting Sylvie Foulds at sylf19@comcast.net.

Checks can be mailed to NAMA at PO Box 62, North Andover, MA 01845.
