Hidden Holiday Gems: Jane on a Budget

The first in a series of local holiday shopping spots.

Consignment stores are often overlooked when looking for holiday shopping bargains. In the first installment of our series looking at hidden gems -- local places off the beaten path that offer holiday gifts -- we're checking out Jane on a Budget.

Located 142 Main St., specializes in second-hand upscale clothing and accessories for discount prices.

You can often find a largely discounted Coach bag, designer jewelry, and clothes you would typically find at the mall -- with labels ranging from Ann Taylor to Abercrombie. But the items are available at this store at affordable prices.

Jane Nabokin has owned the store for two years and said she opened it because she loves high-end clothing and thinks women of all incomes should have access to it. She only accepts clothes in very good condition, and much of what she gets still has tags on it.
