Sometimes getting away is easier during the week especially when your children have early evening activities. Restaurants are less crowded, and the service is usually better.  

Here's the Deal., 1085 Osgood St., offers a selection of ten $10 dinner specials on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 3 to 10:30 p.m. Their offerings include variety of Italian specialties.

If you can eat on the early side, then on Friday, April 15, Orzo's Lounge will kick off  a $4 to $6 small plates menu which includes fried calamari, stuffed mushrooms and eggplant rollatini and more. The special is good Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. in the lounge only.

In case you need to provide dinner for the kids after your outing, you may consider bringing home take out. Depending on how many children and their ages, the portions may be generous enough for them to share, or there is a $4.99 children's menu with choices of pizza, ravioli, ziti or linguine with meatballs and tortellini.

Orzo's Trattoria is now advertising its Easter dinner for Sunday, April 24 from 12 to 8 p.m.

According to their publicity, Orzo's guests can enjoy festive holiday specials such as a rosemary leg of lamb, or baked ham with roasted potatoes  or other springtime offerings such as seafood stuffed haddock and strawberry shortcake, all of which will be served in addition to the regular menu.
