Five Places to Stay Fit in North Andover

As the winter moves forward, the temptation to scrap that New Year's fitness resolution can be strong. Stay fit, stay local.

It's a couple weeks into the new year, and many of you are working hard to keep those New Year's resolutions. And one common resolution is to work out and be fit.

Here are some places to do that in town.

Choice Fitness: Located in the Chickering Plaza, Choice offers a complete gym with personal training at $15 a month for silver membership and $20 a month for gold. The gold membership comes with unlimited guest pass, so bring a friend.

Fitness Together: Located at 73 Main Street and owned by Maureen Sullivan, Fitness Together is personal training studio that allows clients to set their own schedules and tailor their programs with trainers to fit various needs. One-on-one and group trainings are available.

Fitness For You: Don't let having kids be an excuse to not work out this winter. At 530 Turnpike St., this unique business not only offers a traditional gym and personal training, it also offers day care.

Title Boxing: Need something with more of a punch? Try Title Boxing, located in the Eaglewood Shops. Title Boxing recently opened and it's already a big hit in town. The gym specializes in a "Power Hour," an hour-long intense boxing workout, and guarantees results in 90 days.

YMCA: This is technically in Andover -- on Haverhill Street right across the town line -- but it's shared with North Andover. The Andover/North Andover YMCA offers fitness facilities, after school programs, youth sports leagues, swim teams and more, making it great for the whole family's fitness.
