Le Beaujolais nouveau est arrivé!

The smells of a roasting turkey, a dinner table surrounded by friends and family, a shared blessing, and of course, Beaujolais Nouveau. A staple at Thanksgiving dinners amongst even the most discerning of connoisseurs, Beaujolais Nouveau, has been deemed the official drink of Thanksgiving. On Saturday, November 19th, 2011, from 12:00PM-5:00PM the Wine ConneXtion and the Red White Boston Tasting Crew will toast it’s arrival at “Beaujolais Nouveau Time,” during a complimentary tasting event featuring samples of Beaujolais and other prominent Thanksgiving wines which will be paired with holiday dishes prepared by Sandrino’s Catering.

Perhaps one of the most interesting feasts, Thanksgiving highlights a variety of fall flavors making fruity and light-bodied wines the perfect choice. The six-week old Beaujolais Nouveau is a perfect complement to any dish that may grace a Thanksgiving table, including mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberries and yams. Sandrino’s Catering will be on hand to pair the wine with the flavors of Thanksgiving.

By the time Thanksgiving has come to a close, over 65 million bottles of Beaujolais will have been distributed and drunk. A joyous occasion to be shared with family, a Thanksgiving is not a true holiday without Beaujolais Nouveau.
