Cling to Summer With These Local Dishes

Savor the season.

Summer food is light, fun and refreshing, and sometimes it has a kick.

As we approach the end of the summer, savor the season with these local restaurant dishes.

Jaime's Restaurant has their Grilled Chicken and Portobello Mushroom Sandwich, served with bacon and honey mustard on a baguette.They also have a California Cheeseburger with sliced avocado and Monterey Jack cheddar cheese.

Burtons Grill has their Solstice Salad, consisting of a summery array of mixed greens, roasted pears, dried cranberries, pickled onions, almonds and goat cheese, tossed with honey vinaigrette. Or try their Fish Tacos topped with tomato jalapeno relish, avocado, lettuce and chipotle lime crema. Tuesday nights they also have $1 oysters.

At Buono Bistro, try the Buono Panini Insalata, consisting of tomato, roasted pineapple and mango, portabella mushrooms, dried cranberries, red onion, cucumber olivesand goat cheese and mixed greens with balsamic vinaigrette.

Head to Joe Fish for their oysters and clams raw bar menu or their Big Kahuna Lobster Roll, stuffed with lots of Main lobster meat.

Check out Chama Grill for some southern hemisphere summer flavor. Their Mussels Bianco is made with garlic and white wine with toasted crostini and fresh herbs. And their Wrapped Gouda Cheese salad has gouda cheese wrapped in phyllo dough served over mixed greens and berries and topped with balsamic glaze.
