China Blossom Wins Award

The popular local restaurant was honored by the Family Business Association.

Last Thursday night, received the 2011 First Generation Business Award from the Family Business Association.

A First Generation Business in this classification refers to a business that has at least two full-time family members - one who is an active equity owner and one who is employed by the business - and has not yet transitioned ownership from one generation to the next.

“We were very surprised to receive the award," said the restaurant's manager, David Yee, who is the son of the business's founder Richard Yee. "It was truly an honor. I think that the award is truly a testament to my father and my mother's hard work and dedication to their business and the community they live in."
