Local Restaurants Open on Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving is traditionally a holiday when families usually gather to share turkey and other festive foods. But sometimes, they may opt to dine out at a restaurant. There are also individuals who do not live near family or friends and are looking for

Most of the restaurants in North Andover will not be open on Thanksgiving Day. When Patch surveyed the the food establishments, the "Of course not," response underlined an assumption that Thanksgiving is a holiday to spend with family or friends, and not at work.

That being said, what restaurants will be open on Thanksgving?

If you are in a need of a latte fixe, , 562 Turnpike Street will be open from 5 am to 4 pm, , 1115 Osgood St., will be open 6 a.m. to noon and Dunkin Donuts, 733 Turnpike St., will be open regular hours from 5 a.m.to 6 p.m.

Turkey dinner may be traditional fare, but may not suit everyone's taste. Try Indian cuisine at , 350 Winthrop Ave. Customers can order off the regular menu, but the lunch buffet will not be available. Their hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Call 978-689-7800 to make reservations, and also check out their Web site.

, 220 Sutton St., will be open with a special Thanksgiving menu that includes five entrees, including an oven roasted turkey dinner, Haddock Oscar, with shrimp and hollandaise sauce, 14 oz prime rib steak, roasted leg of lamb with a chianti rosemary demi-glaze, and baked stuffed lobster. All entrees will be served with potato and vegetables. The hours will be 12noon-10pm. Call 978-258-0658 to make reservations, and also check out the Web site

, 39 Main St. Not only are they open until midnight, but they will have a free Turkey buffet with all the fixings for their customers starting between 2 and 3 p.m., until the food is gone.

Owner Lesley Carlson has been offering the free buffet for the past 12 years and explained, "It is nice for our customers who do not have place to go for Thanksgiving." Rolf's hours are 10 a.m. to midnight, and the phone number is 978-687-9712.
