What’s better than the sizzle of barbeque ribs on the grill?
Summertime demands a special kind of dining and there is one local restaurant that has the seasonal eating experience perfected.
Burtons Grill on 114 in North Andover is doing it right this summer with new barbeque special, exceptional seafood, and refreshing summer drinks.
“We have native swordfish that’s caught right off the coast,” said Mike Tynan, a manger at .
The swordfish is available in many different ways. Grilled, bronze or fried, the Atlantic swordfish costs $24.95 and is served with seasonal vegetables and choice of potato or herbed rice.
The swordfish kebabs also make a great entrée; they’re marinated, grilled, and served over fresh corn and snap pea succotash and basmati rice. This variation is only $13.95.
Also available now is the fresh North Atlantic Lobster Roll, served on a toasted brioche roll with hand cut French fries. The Lobster Roll dish costs $17.95.
The grill at Burtons is fired up as well.
“We also just started our homemade barbeque ribs and chicken with coleslaw and French fries as a special on weekends for 18.99,” said Tynan.
Not in the mood for ribs but still in the mood for the barbeque flavor? Try the Barbeque Chicken Salad featuring black beans, red opinions, grape tomatoes, corn, cheddar, and apple wood smoked bacon tossed with romaine and iceberg lettuce.
The summertime demands different drinks than the other months of the year. Burtons is well aware and has certain drinks to compliment the temperature.
“Every month we feature a different wine, martini and craft beer,” Tynan said.
“Our martini of July is called the ‘Peach-tini,’” he explained. “It has Stoli Peach, Myer’s, Mount Gay rum along with fresh pineapple and orange juice.”
As for desert, they’ve got it covered as well. “We have Kahlua s’mores for desert,” Tynan said. That’s all you need to know.
Burtons' menu extends to a gluten free section which features a wonderful selection. Buffalo chicken dip and calamari make great appetizers while varying sandwiches, burgers, steaks, pastas, and deserts make excellent choices regardless of one’s dietary restrictions.
There is also a vegetarian menu which informs patrons that chefs are always eager to modify dishes to fit their wishes.
With the sun shining so brightly this July, sitting outside has been a priority for Burtons customers.
“The outdoor patio is extremely popular,” Tynan said. “We have eight outdoor tables,” he said

Burtons open until 10pm Monday through Thursday. It remains open through 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights. On Sundays it closes at 9pm.
The lunch menu is also very popular; Burtons opens at 11:30am six days a week. On Sundays it opens up at 11am for Sunday Brunch which lasts until 3pm.
