The polar vortex is holding tight on the cold air this January, but administrators at the Topsfield Fair are thinking about next fall.

They are looking for local performers for the 10-day fair in October.

"We are currently booking entertainment for our stages and time slots are filling up quickly," the fair said in a callout issued earlier this week. "Acts of all categories, genres and sizes are welcome."

The fair has several stages in various locations, ranging from the Trianon Stage to Kiddie Land, "allowing us to accommodate practically any type of act," teh fair said.

Performers typically include bands, solo musicians, dance groups, magicians, and comedians, according to the Topsfield Fair.

Anyone who knows a performer they would like to see at the fair, organizers ask people to "spread the word and invite them to apply."

There is an online entertainment application that any interested performers should fill out.
