Veterans Day Parade Sunday

Here are the details.

Sunday is Veterans Day, a day in which we honor all those who have served to protect our nation.

North Andover will have its Veterans Day Parade that day. Here are the details:

  • The parade will form at 9:30 a.m. at the First & Main Plaza. It will start at 10:00 a.m. then head up Main Street and stop for services at Patriots Memorial Park. Then it will proceed forward on Main Street to the VFW. At the VFW, the flag will be raised and there will be a salute to deceased veterans.
  • This year's parade will honor Lt. Col. Harold A. Dushame of North Andover, who passed away earlier this year.
  • Weather is expected to be near 60 degrees and mostly sunny. But this is New England, so that could change. Bring a sweater and a jacket just in case. If the weather gets nasty, services will be held at North Andover Middle School at 10:30 a.m.

And as always, we at Patch thank all veterans for their service to our country.
