Heat Advisory in Effect

Five things to know in North Andover today.

Here are five things you need to know on Tuesday, July 16.

  • Heat Advisory: The heatwave continues today, and there is a heat advisory for our region. Temperatures are expected to reach near 100 degrees by the afternoon, and humidity will be dangerously high.
  • Pets: Keep your pets indoors as much as possible. Temperatures as high as those expected today are hazardous to animals as well as people. And do not leave a pet in a vehicle.
  • Meeting: The Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.
  • NNO: The deadline is approaching for National Night Out food vendors.
  • Fat Letters: Check out the latest development in the "fat letters" controversy.
  • Blogging: It seems there's a glitch in the new Patch 2.0 system that is rejecting blogs as spam. If this happens to you when you post, please contact Bryan.McGonigle@patch.com so we can fix it.
