Franklin Elementary's Act of Kindness to Leahy Elementary in honor of Joseph Middlemiss

Franklin Elementary School students and families made, purchased, wrapped, and delivered nearly 540 gifts to the children at Leahy Elementary in Lawrence,on December 20th.  This became a Random Act of Kindness/Pay it Forward mission in honor of Joseph Middlemiss, a seven year old boy who 'earned his angel wings' on September 23rd.  He was born with cardiomyopathy, a rare heart condition.  His parents, Kate and Scott, both teachers, Kate being a Franklin teacher and Scott a principal in Tyngsboro, began this mission around the holiday season, to continue the kindness and love that Joey gave to all.  Please visit https://www.facebook.com/JosephMiddlemissLove for more information.  Franklin School plans to make this project of giving gifts to Leahy children an annual event within their holiday parties.
