Here are some things to do in North Andover today.
Weather is supposed to be similar to yesterday, with a chance of rain so bring an umbrella just in case. Trash is delayed a day because of the holiday, so remember that when you go to bring your trash out to the curb. The North Andover High School boys varsity golf team will play against Hamilton-Wenham today at 3:30 p.m. at the North Andover Country Club. The boys varsity soccer team will play against Hamilton-Wenham at North Andover High School. Merrimack College men's soccer team will play against Assumption at 7 p.m.
It's Columbus Day, so school is out and the kids will be looking for something to do. Adults could probably use some outdoor time, too. Foliage is beginning. You can take a stroll along Lake Cochichewick and check out the leaves. And why not head to Smolak Farms? Smolak Farms is having hayrides and campfires. and they have a selection of antique apples (apples you can't find anywhere else in the state) so you can take some home and make a pie. That makes it quite appropriate that Merrimack College is screening "Singin' in the Rain" today at the Rogers Center of the Arts at 7 p.m. Admittance is free.
