Amid the frustration over communbication outages, police were treated to a bit of humor when a resident on Winter Street reported that three "very large" pigs were asleep in the middle of that road. Three New York residents were arrested Friday for allegedly trying to use counterfeit money in the Eaglewood Plaza. An employee of one of the stores called police at around 6:30 p.m. and told them there were people passing fake $20 bills there. Police searched and eventually found the suspects and pulled them over nearby. Moises Francisco, 22, of Wingsdale, N.Y.; Patrick Zare, 23, of 11243 Colfax St., Queens, N.Y.; and Demi Palao, 19, of 11038 55th Ave., New York, N.Y., were charged with passing counterfeit notes, conspiracy and receiving stolen property.
