Patch Celebrates Thanksgiving in North Andover.
Just before noon on Thanksgiving morning the town of North Andover was injected with a high dose of football euphoria when the Scarlet Knights hoisted the Turkey Day trophy at their home field, Walsh Stadium. The Knights, already champions of the Cape Ann (Large) Conference, hit Masco on the chin with a 20-7 grinder of a victory.  It was their tenth straight triumph in what has been a marvelous season for the playoff bound North Andover squad. North Andover has defeated Masconomet Regional High School 20-7 in this year's Thanksgiving football game. North Andover quarterback Brandon Walsh scored two of North Andover's three touchdowns, one in the first quarter and one in the second. North Andover Captain Jack Murphy scored the third touchdown in the fourth quarter. Masconomet came back with a touchdown in the third but could not grab enough momentum to take down the charging Scarlett Knights. The North Andover Senior Center held its annual Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday afternoon. The full feast was served and cooked by the Senior Center staff and volunteers. "This event takes about 4 to 8 weeks to plan and get off the ground," said Senior Center Program Manager Barbara Champigny.
