When Will Winter Parking Ban End?
You Ask... Patch Answers.
Several readers have asked why the winter parking ban is still in effect and when it will be lifted. So that seemed like a great way to revive "You Ask... Patch Answers."
According to the town website, the winter parking ban is extended indefinitely.
This is actually not that weird. Winter parking used to be in effect from Dec. 1 through March 31. But last year, the Board of Selectmen voted to change it so that it ended Feb. 28.
This winter has seen more snow than last year -- a snowstorm just about every weekend, and another predicted for tonight -- and it seems to have gotten a late start.
So selectmen opted to extend winter parking regulations. They will revisit the issue on March 11 and perhaps vote to either lift the parking ban or extend it through the end of the month.
Here are the parking ban details.
