What's Up With the "Clear History" House?

The Great Pond Road home is drawing attention.

There's an HBO movie being filmed at a home on Great Pond Road overlooking Lake Cochichewick at 440 Great Pond Road near the North Andover Country Club.

The majestic red brick home -- which has been under contruction for a while now -- has many people asking, "what's the deal with that place anyway?"

The home is owned by Anthony DiNapoli of Andover, who purchased the 6-acre property in 2002. He completely tore down the existing colonial-style home and has since been constructing the red brick palace you see today.

That property once belonged to the Manzi family, who built the previous home in the 1960s. They sold it to DiNapoli during the housing boom for $2 million.

That same year, DiNapoli was convicted of witness tampering, and that led to the state later taking action against a company affiliated with DiNapoli in 2005 during a permit dispute in Hopkinton, N.H.

MassRealty.com estimates the Great Pond Road property value at $1.12 million. The town assessment is at just over $631,000.

Are they finished filming at the house? We went by on Friday and it was all nice and tidy. No one was present.

Mr. DiNapoli has impeccable taste and a profound ability to turn any properry into a masterpiece. I can't wait to see it. It will be worth the wait. I expect nothing less then breathtaking and mesmerizing.
