We’ll start you off with three restaurants that receive high marks in both ambiance and deliciousness.

1. Burtons

You can’t go wrong with Burtons Grill on 114 in North Andover. The food is always top notch, and the staff is there to make sure you are enjoying yourself.

The quiet, dark vibe is perfect for an important date on Valentine’s Day and the drinks menu is unique and filled with flavor.

A Marinated Mediterranean Salad, which we discussed last week, would make a wonderful starter to the meal. A fun entrée such as the Fish Tacos will not leave you disappointed. The market catch of the day is paired up with two warm flour tortillas and topped with tomato jalapeno relish, chipotle lime crema, and shredded lettuce for $10.95.

2. Bertucci’s

Simple, romantic, and fun. Taking your date to Bertucci’s on Valentine’s Day may be the best decision you ever make.

A simple, elegant, dining room awaits you at Bertucci’s where a romantic meal is as simple as a couple of glasses of red wine, a small appetizer, and the splitting of a hot and delicious pizza.

Perhaps the Roasted Artichoke Fonduta will catch your eye. These artichoke hearts are blended in a mozzarella, Asiago and Romano cheese spread, then backed and served with a crispy flatbread. This dish costs only $6.25 and won’t fill you up before you enjoy…

The Butternut Squash and Blue Cheese Pizza. This bold new pizza pairs brick oven roasted butternut squash and crumbled blue cheese. Sprinkled on top are some candied walnuts to finish off a unique, and hopefully unforgettable meal.

3. Buono Bistro

Another romantic option in North Andover is Buono Bistro. Nothing spells romance like a classic Italian dinner at one of North Andover’s classiest establishments.

In the way of appetizers, you and your date will love the Shrimp Margarita. A cool twist on a shrimp cocktail, this appetizer features four jumbo shrimp dipped lightly into seasoned egg batter and pan-seatered and sautéed in a Grand Marnier sauce ($12).

For dinner, the Wild Mushroom Risotto ($21) features sauteed wild mushrooms and asparagus tips blended with creamy risotto. The dish is topped with fresh shaved truffles and Parmigiano cheese.
