State Police Pursuit Leads to North Andover
State Police pursued suspects in connection with an Atkinson, N.H., robbery.
An early morning police chase in connection with a robbery of a Sunoco gas station in Atkinson, N.H., ended up in North Andover.
According to Massachusetts State Police, at just after 1 a.m. Tuesday, troopers joined Methuen and Salem, N.H., police in pursuit of a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder heading southbound on I-495. The car was allegedly used in connection to a robbery of a Sunoco gas station in Atkinson.
The Pathfinder reportedly exited I-495 at the Route 114 exit and turned into Colonial Terrace in Lawrence.
The men in the vehicle fled, but police were able to catch the driver. Ihab Hussein, 39, of Manchester, N.H., was taken to the Lawrence Police Station.
Then, a resident called and reported seeing two people run across I-495 into North Andover.
"A State Police K-9 began to track the suspects along the Shawsheen River," the State Police said in a statement. "The K-9 track was successful and two of the suspects were apprehended."
Banshon Brown, 38, of Belmont, N.H,, was charged as a fugitive from justice, with another warrant for his arrest from Lynn District Court.
William P. Boucher, 25, of Manchester, was taken to Lawrence General Hospital for minor injuries and then charged as a fugitive from justice. He had a warrant for his arrest from Rockingham County Superior Court.
