RESULTS: Holland Wins Unofficial Mayor Contest

The local business owner and youth sports advocate garnered

 

The results are in, and North Andover's unofficial mayor is Terry Holland.

The Stachey's owner raked in a staggering 9,127 votes, 56 percent of the vote. He was followed by Town Clerk Joyce Bradshaw, who got 39 percent. For a while, Team Terry and Team Joyce swapped the lead back and forth. And local pet care specialist Tracey Zysk came in third with 2 percent.

A lifelong North Andover resident, Holland is actively involved in many local groups and programs, including the Tourney for Tim and the North Andover Merchants Association. He is known for working tirelessly on behalf of youth sports, the schools and the local Youth Center and is instrumental in getting the town funding for its parks and fields. And recently, Holland was recently named the North Andover Merchants Association Merchant of the Year.

Patch will have an unofficial inauguration ceremony at the Sheep Shearing Festival on May 20, with special guests. Details will be announced soon.

So when you see Terry Holland at Stachey's or around town, make sure you tip your hat and say hello to the new unofficial mayor of North Andover.

Congratulations. The vote reflects the number of people he has helped in one way or another. Thanks for all that you do for everyone in North Andover.
