PHOTOS: North Andover GOP Spring Fling
Republicans rallied and enjoyed a night of food and speeches.
Local Republicans gathered at China Blossom Thursday night for the North Andover Republican Town Committee's annual Spring Fling.
The night featured several speakers, including all three Republican U.S. Senate candidates, both North Andover School Committee candidates, State Rep. Jim Lyons, State Sen. Bruce Tarr and Selectmen Rosemary Smedile.
The special guest of honor was Lt. First Class David Swarbrick of North Andover. A Lawrence firefighter and former member of the North Andover Fire Department, Swarbrick recently returned from Afghanistan after serving 11 tours and earing a Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
The Spring Fling raises money each year for the Jim Gammie Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to graduating North Andover seniors.

Jay Leno wants to know what's happening to the Republican Party. They used to meet at the VFW, now they meet at a Chinese restaurant.

Hi CoachRaf2! We actually meet every third Tuesday of the month at the North Andover Police Department, and have been for about a year now. Come join us! Our next meeting is on the 19th.

Is there a public meeting space there - like they have in the library?
Jay Leno says having the Republicans meeting at the police station is very convenient - when they come for your guns. (Sorry I couldn't resist - these jokes just write themselves).
Thanks for the invite.
