Winter officially ends this week, but don't put away those shovels yet. More snow is on the way.
A winter storm is headed to New England overnight Monday into Tuesday, and North Andover is expected to see 3-to-6 inches of new snow, WHDH reports.
A little further north will see 6-12 inches of new snow, and if the storm goes slightly east we could see that much as well.
And there will be a slippery mess for the morning commute, with ice forming overnight Monday.
On his blog, WHDH meteorologist Chris Lambert writes:
"Between 128 and 495, some mixing with sleet and rain is likely by the AM commute esp. near 128 (7-9AM), but a slow and slippery ride is expected."
