When a congressional seat in Massachusetts is seen as a toss-up and potentially up for grabs by a Republican, people take notice.
NPR recently did a feature on the 6th District race between Congressman John Tierney and Richard Tisei.
The feature focused on the prospect of Republican Tisei ousting Democrat Tierney, calling it historic for Massachusetts Republicans "Not just because they could win their first U.S. House seat in 15 years, but also because Tisei would be the first openly gay Republican to be elected to a term in Congress."
