A young North Andover woman was rushed to the hospital Monday night after being struck by a motor vehicle while crossing the street in Salem.

At 10:11 p.m., local police, fire and ambulance units responded to report of a pedestrian down and injured in the street near the intersection of Broadway and Charles Street.

Alexandra Petrosillo, 20, of North Andover, was reportedly struck by a Toyota Camry and was transported by ambulance from the scene to Salem Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The motorist who allegedly struck Petrosillo will not be cited, police said.
