North Andover Girl Makes Wrestling History

Danielle Coughlin's a local pioneer.

The Scarlet Knights varsity wrestling team won the Division 2 state title Wednesday night and made history, with some girl power.

North Andover High School senior Danielle Coughlin has become the first girl in Massachusetts high school wrestling history to win an individual state championship, having won the 106-pound weight class.

Check out the video and interview with Coughlin on WBZ.

Coughlin has wrestled since 5th grade and last year told Patch she was inspired by her brother. Also last year, she was featured on The Huffington Post.
