Man Charged in Connection With Two Car Thefts

The arrest happened early Monday.

North Andover Police responded to reports of stolen vehicles early Monday morning and apprehended one man in connection with them. Police say that when they collared him, he had the keys to a second hot car.

Aaron Dean-Ganek, 22, 7 Walker Road, has been charged with two counts of receiving stolen motor vehicle and operating on suspended license.

At shortly before 5 a.m. Monday, a resident on Edgelawn Avenue reported that her black Acura sedan had just been stolen.

Officer Mike Reardon saw the vehicle traveling on Route 114 and, after back-up officers arrived, police stopped the vehicle, reportedly driven by Dean-Ganek, near the North Andover Mall.

After police apprehended him, Lt. Charles Gray said they discovered he had a key to another vehicle that had been stolen at Edgelawn Avenue. That's when he was charged with the second count of receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

According to police reports, Dean-Ganek then told police that he had not acted alone and that there were two other suspects who had been with him.

Chief Paul Gallagher praised the quick investigation by the officers.
