Labor Day Weekend Sees Drug Busts

The following information was supplied by the North Andover Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Labor Day weekend is usually a time for cookouts and swimming. But this weekend, there were also drug arrests.

On Friday afternoon, North Andover Police stopped a man on Main Street for failure to yield and operating after suspension, according to police reports, and then chased him on foot when he ran off.

Police quickly apprehended Wesley Romano, 23, of 30 Sargent St., North Andover, and also charged him for possession of a class B substance and possession of a class C substance.

Romano was taken to the hospital for what appeared to be a drug overdose as well, according to reports.

Then on Saturday, police were called to Royal Crest by a woman who said she did not want her daughter there.

When they arrived, police arrested Nicole Wise, 37, of 30 Lewis St. Apt. 3, Lynn, for distribution of a class E substance. She was also wanted on warrants for violating an abuse prevention order.

Why didn't you report the domestic disturbance at 74 Sherwood drive. Two police cars arrived around 10pm. Looks like the new homeowners have some issues...very disturbing.

Nicole Wise was not arrested for anything other than an outstanding warrent ,That was not valid , from lynn Ma and once the facts are shown that there was no warrent and that it was an error in which she was held for 4 days, the town should be held resposable for making her look like a criminal, these are the kind of mistakes that happen every day and ruin peoples names , she is a professional medical assisante and has worked very hard to get where she is , and to have a mistake like this dirty her name is not right there should be a retraction put on the front page to clear her name of this unjustice and someone should be held responsable
