Mill Road could really use to be plowed again and widened. There is no way a school bus and a car will get through there tomorrow at the same time. Also, the snowbanks on most corners are far too high making it very difficult to see oncoming traffic. I know it's costly, but the town is going to have to remove some snow at the intersections on there are going to be accidents.

Saw many plows up until Saturday at around 1pm. Didn't see a single plow for the rest of the weekend. Then school was cancelled today .. which I found a little surprising.
On second thought, I can see how the town saves money by not paying overtime on a Sunday to widen the roads. On third thought, the town read the weather reports and felt it was cheaper to let today's rain melt some of the snow they'd be plowing. Finally, getting the schools open is no big priority, they'll just make the day(s) later. Can the town really be this clever? I think in the case it was.

I live on second street and think the DPW and the their contrated plows did an amazing job! They worked without stopping for 24 hours. They kept up the best they could! I know they took a break on sunday for rest, but as of 8pm sunday night they were back at all I could hear downtown was the constant beeping of hum of equipment. They do not sleep and do not stop and I think they people could be a little more patient. They leave their families home alone to fend for themselves and work hard to make our streets driveable. Next time you see them after a huge snowstorm look hard and see the exhaustion on their faces. Never once complaining. You try to find a place to put 3 feet of snow in an overcrowded neighborhood!
