Fourth Festivities: Here's the Rundown

The town is planning two days of fun starting this evening.

North Andover will be celebrating our nation's birthday -- fireworks tonight and a festival all day tomorrow. Here are the details.

Today, July 3

The North Andover Festival Committee will host a fireworks display tonight at North Andover Middle School.

From 5 to 9 p.m., there will be music and entertainment by DJ Russ McQueen. There will be a beer tent by the VFW as well as food vendors, carnival games, karate demonstrations and pony rides.

The show will begin at dusk, a little after 9 p.m., and is expected to last for about 20 minutes.

Tomorrow, July 4

On Independence Day itself, the town will hold its Fourth of July Festival at the Common from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

There will be a pancake breakfast to begin the day at the Cochichewick Lodge from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. An annual doll carriage parade will start at 12 p.m. The day will feature kids' games, crafters, food vendors, a beer tent, a DJ, karate demonstrations and bands playing from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

"The Festival Committee would like to thank the firework sponsors for their generosity -- TD Bank, Wheelabrator and Butcher Boy Market," the Festival Committee wrote in announcing the event.
