Former Brooks Headmaster Had 'Inappropriate Relationship' With Student, Report Says
The headmaster served in that role for more than 20 years.
A former headmaster at Brooks School engaged in an "questionable relationship" with a student, the Boston Globe reports.
Lawrence W. Becker, who served as headmaster from 1986 to 2008, is said to have had an inappropriate relationship with a student as well as hired escorts, according to an email sent to alumni and parents. The email also
Officials at the school would not comment.
The email sent to parents and alumni said that Becker had admitted to hiring an escort who later made threats against him. The message did not contain any information about the relationship with the student.
Update: Fox 25 is reporting that Becker "engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior with a student in 2004" and that no one has reported any criminal activity in the matter.

Oh my, What a bust. It appears that this dark information was not shared with the Trustees nor the school leadership for years. What happens at Brooks .. stays at Brooks.

There are too many tragic examples of this today, from Penn State to the Catholic Church and now at Brooks, Protecting the Institution is more important to those in power then protecting kids or innocent victims. When will this stop?
