Five Ways to Save This Week

Movies and kickboxing round off this week's savings.

 

We're all watching our family budgets these days. Whether shopping with coupons or looking for two-for-one deals, we're taking advantage of all sorts of offers and savings that help us stretch our dollars.

This column is dedicated to giving you five great local deals each week that will help your family’s bottom line, and since we do the scouting for you, you can save time as well as money.

Remember to check with the merchant for additional conditions:

1. STEVENS MEMORIAL LIBRARY

Deal: The library is now registering for Story Times. Preschool is Thursday at 10:30 a.m., kindergarten is Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., and first and second grade is Thursday at 3:30 p.m. They run from February to May but are not available school vacations or early release days.

Good Through: Ongoing.

2. ESSEX ART CENTER

Deal: The Essex Art center is offering February Vacation Camps called Art Adventures. They run from Feb. 22 to Feb. 25 and are available for kids ages 3 to 10. Prices start at $25.

Good Through: Feb. 25.

3. CHUNKY'S CINEMA

Deal: Wednesday, Feb 16, is Ladies Night. Women receive $2 off admission.

Good Through: Wednesday.

4. STACHEY'S PIZZA

Deal: Stachey's offers a free small cheese pizza when you order two large pizzas.  If you don't need the small pizza, you can get the large cheese for $15.99, but you have to ask.

Good Through: Ongoing.

5. MERRIMACK VALLEY MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY

Deal: Merrimack Valley Martial Arts Academy, 200 Sutton St., will be offering female kickboxing classes for woman ages 18 and up for a six-week session. Classes started Feb. 5 and run from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. Cost is $40 for six weeks or $8 drop-in call. Call 978-237-5956 for more information.

Good Through: Mid-March.
