- Primary: Today is the Massachusetts Primary. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at North Andover High School. Candidates will be selected for the state representative race and state senator race among others. Check back for details.

- This Day in History: In 1620, the Pilgrims left on the Mayflower from England to settle in the New World. In 1876, the Southern Pacific rail line from Los Angeles to San Francisco was completed. In 1959, the first Barbie Doll was sold by Mattel Toy Corp. In 1995, Cal Ripken set a new record when he played his 2,131st consecutive game.
