Today is Wednesday, Sept. 12. Here are five things you need to know:

  • Beautiful Day: Temperatures are expected to be in the high 70s most of the day, with clear sunny skies.
  • 9/11 Video: The town had its Sept. 11 ceremony yesterday. Check out this video of the event.
  • Meeting: The Conservation Commission will meet at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.
  • Cheap Gas: Prime Mart has gas at $3.79 a gallon for regular.
  • This Day in History: In 1609, English explorer Henry Hudson sailed down what is now called the Hudson River. In 1928, Katharine Hepburn made her stage debut in the play "The Czarina." In 1953, Sen. John F. Kennedy of Massachusetts married Jacqueline Lee Bouvier. In 1974, riots broke out on opening day of classes in Boston due opposition to court-ordered busing.
