Today is Thursday, Dec. 13. Here are five things you need to know.

  • Sunny Day: Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-40s most of the day, with clear sunny skies.
  • Meeting: The School Committee will meet at 7:00 p.m. in the North Andover High School library.
  • Taxes: The new tax rates have been determined. Check back for those this morning.
  • Trees Raffle: The Senior Center is raffling off decorative trees.
  • This Day in History: In 1769, New Hampshire's Dartmouth College received its charter. In 1913, the Federal Reserve System was established. In 1918, President Woodrow Wilson arrived in France, becoming the first American president to visit a European country while holding office. In 2000, Vice President Al Gore conceded the 2000 presidential election to Texas Gov. George W. Bush.
