Five Things to Do This Weekend

Some fun for your weekend planner.

It's Friday, and you're wondering what to do with your weekend. Here are some local ideas.

1. Legally Blonde the Musical

When/Where: Friday at 7 p.m. at North Andover High School.

Why Go: The play is produced and performed by the NAHS Drama Guild. This recent Broadway hit tells the story of Elle Woods, who decides to attend Harvard Law School when she is dumped by her boyfriend and learns lessons about what she really needs and wants along the way.

2. Paul Gilligan Comedy

When/Where: Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m. Lots Of Laughs Comedy Lounge.

Why Go: This event will feature comedians Tom Hayes, Mike Koutrobis
and Paul Gilligan from Atlantic City and Las Vegas.

3. Pet Reiki and Glamor Shots

When/Where: Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ciao! Bow Wow.

Why Go: Sometimes even pets need a "me day." Reiki Master Julie G will provide free Reiki for your pet. And for $15, photographer Megan Taylor will take a professional photo of your dog and send it to you via email. From there, you can post it on Facebook, download it to your computer, or have prints made.

4. Sheep Shearing Festival

When/Where: Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Old Town Common.

Why Go: There will be sheep shearing demonstrations, vendors, music and Cow Pie Bingo.

5. Unofficial Mayor Inauguration

Why Go: Patch will host an unofficial inauguration for Unofficial Mayor Terry Holland. There will be guest speakers, opportunity for photos at the Patch tent, and of course, Terry Holland.
