Five Things to Do This Weekend
Some fun for your weekend planner.
It's Friday, and you're wondering what to do this weekend.
This weekend, with the clocks changing back, you get an extra hour, so you might as well use it. Here are five things to do in town.
When/Where: Friday from 6:15 to 8 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.
Why Go: Caribbean Rhythm Shake It Into Shape and Zumba are now coming to North Andover. Ramon Salomon, the brains and originator behind Caribbean Rhythm, combines popular tropical rhythm such as Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue to his fun and result oriented classes.
When/Where: Friday at 9 p.m. at Chuckles Comedy Club.
Why Go: The event will feature comedians Jack Walsh, Steve Bjork and John David.
When/Where: Saturday at 8 a.m. at the Merrimack Valley Martial Arts Academy.
Why Go: In case the previous night's cardio didn't do enough, you can amp it up with some kickboxing. Besides, you'll have an extra hour to rest that night anyway.
When/Where: Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Why Go: After that cardio and kickboxing, you deserve some holiday shopping. Celebrating its 100th Anniversary, Ye Olde Christmas Faire at St Paul's Episcopal Church offers breakfast, lunch, baked goods, crafts, books, games for the kids, a silent auction, Nana's Attic and more.
When/Where: Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. all over town.
Why Go: Your kids had to miss out on it Monday due to the power outages, so they will probably have twice as much fun with this special November Halloween. And as an added bonus, they gain an hour of sleep that night due to the time change.
