Dog Kills Raccoon Protecting Owner

Wednesday, Aug. 22

At 8:48 a.m., a caller on Cotuit Street reported that her and her husband's cars were broken into and gone through overnight.

At 5:45 p.m., a caller on Colby Court reported a domestic dispute in that area. It was a verbal dispute, and everything was quiet when police arrived.

At 5:47 p.m., police received multiple calls about a transformer fire on Farrwood Avenue. The fire was extinguished and power was eventually restored.

At 8:08 p.m., someone walked into the station and reported that their canoe had been stolen from the lake.

Thursday, Aug. 23

At 4:34 p.m., a caller on Lacy Street reported that her daughter told her that her neighbor was cutting down trees that belong to the town. The Division of Public Works looked at the trees and found that only one of them was questionable.

At 5:18 p.m., a caller on South Bradford Street reported that her dog had killed a raccoon while protecting her. The raccoon was taken to Andover Animal Hospital for testing.

At 5:51 p.m., a caller on Lacy Street reported that her neighbors were threatening her.

At 10:20 p.m., a caller reported that her husband had threatened her with a gun.
