A Lowell woman was taken to Lawrence General Hospital Saturday after suffering injuries while riding her bicycle. But she was not hit by a car.
Firefighters say the woman, 55, was riding along the side Salem Street next to the white line when a car drove by. The space between the line and the curb was wet, and her bicycle slid and fell over.
The woman was semi-conscious when medical help arrived, and her helmet was cracked. So paramedics took her to Lawrence General Hospital for observation.
