Awkward: Man Gives Racial Rant During Brown Visit [VIDEO]
The man insisted that President Obama dislikes white people.
During Sen. Scott Brown's visit to the North Andover Senior Center Monday, there was an awkward moment when a man -- who did not identify himself -- stood up and ranted about President Barack Obama, saying Obama dislikes white Americans.
"As an American, as a veteran, as a union iron member, retired, I am very worried about this man, Obama, in the White House and what he is doing to us," the man said. "He is deliberately wiping out the white middle class in this country and destroying small businesses all across this country."
Brown made it clear that he disagreed with the man and then tried to direct the conversation toward government regulations and corporate taxes. But the man wouldn't relent.
"The problem is Obama does not like white America!" he argued. The crowd then booed him.
Brown, who seemed uncomfortable, responded that he respectfully disagreed.
"I've met the president, he's a good family man, he works hard," Brown said. "I may not agree with him, but I don't agree with that statement."
The unidentified man then walked out of the event.
