MAURA CIARDIELLO ENDORSED BY LOWELL SUN—BIGGEST NEWSPAPER IN DISTRICT!
NORTH ANDOVER,MA--FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Maura Ciardiello, Haverhill mother of three and school teacher by profession, has just secured The Lowell Sun endorsement of her candidacy for Governor’s Council. The Governor’s Council is the elected body that screens judges before they are appointed to the bench. The Lowell Sun is the third largest paper in Eastern Massachusetts and outpaces every other newspaper in the district both in print and on line with nearly 50,000 subscribers.
Ciardiello, who has made public safety and judicial accountability the core of her campaign, is married to a Massachusetts State Trooper and resides in Haverhill. The Lowell Sun praised Ciardiello for her pledge to bring an independent balance to the Governor’s Council. Several public safety organizations have already endorsed Ciardiello, including the International Brotherhood of Police and the State Police Association of Massachusetts.
When reached for comment at her son’s soccer game today between campaign events, Maura said: “I am so thrilled. I vow to be a voice of independence and common sense.”
The Governor’s Council District covers Northeastern Massachusetts, including the Merrimack Valley and the North Shore. The seat is being vacated by Mary-Ellen Manning of Peabody, who also endorsed Ciardiello.
The election is Tuesday, November 6.
