Local Photographer Earns National Recognition

Ed Pedi of Ed Pedi Photography, North Andover was recently recognized for his distinguished body of work by Professional Photographers of America (PPA) at their annual convention, Imaging USA, held in New Orleans, LA. Mr. Pedi was recipient of the distinguished ‘Silver Medalist’ photographer award. The silver medalist award was presented to Mr. Pedi for successfully achieving a perfect print case with all four entries receiving first place merits. Additionally, his image titled ‘Discovery’ was accepted in to the PPA Loan Collection and also received the Kodak Gallery award. ‘Discovery’ is an artistic portrait of two-year old twins, Max & Molly photographed in his outdoor studio. The image is also featured in the 2011 PPA loan collection book, published annually by Marathon Press and distinguishes the ‘best of the best’ in professional photography.

Mr. Pedi also had the distinct honor of being a featured platform speaker at the event where he presented a lecture and slideshow on his program titled ‘Four Steps to Portrait Success’. His program explains and defines his proven formula for operating a successful portrait studio. With attendance reaching close to 10,000; I-USA is PPA’s largest annual event. Mr. Pedi was honored to be recognized as one of PPA’s distinguished speakers and to share his knowledge and experience to help others achieve greater success.   

In business for 20 years, Mr. Pedi is a national speaker, mentor and award winning photographer. His images have received numerous photographic awards and have been displayed at the Kodak Exhibit at Disney’s Epcot Center. He was recently featured in the Nov. 2011 edition of Professional Photographer magazine. He is a past president of Professional Photographers Association of Massachusetts (PPAM) and is currently serving as VP of Programs for Professional Photographers Association of New England (PPANE). He will also present a week long class to other professional photographers at New England Institute of Professional Photography from April 1-5, 2012.
